Goodyear F1 GS D3 for the 8

I need new tyres and have read that Goodyear F1 GS D3 were voted best tyre by Car and DRiver and Eurotuner. However , a tire that suits a BMW may not suit an RX8. Does anyone have any experience with these tyres on their car, and what sizes are you running?

I am looking at the Goodyears in 245-40-18 for my '8 when the Potenzas wear out. Tire rack has a couple of reviews from RX 8 owners.

I just put a set on last week and they are fantastic!!!
Very grippy and quiet. Have not had a chance yet to get them on a track but so far I think I'll be very happy with them.
Got them from Tire Rack at $201/tire. I like the aggressive looking tread too!

I had a set of 245/35/19 on my car, would still have them now if it wasn't for a giant nail going through one of them.

I have one left, if anyone needs it. $60 shipped. It's got about 1/4" or more of tred remaining, didn't measure it though, but it should last a while.

if you've got the money to pay for these, they are VERY hard to beat.

What size do you think is best?

I am looking at 225 40 18s...

How wide can you go on a stock rim?

The 235/40 fits the 18 inch wheel.
