he are the NG one's from rx8strakes...
I got the chrome ones from http://www.rx8-accessories.com/index.html. They were much nicer than the stock ones I had before. Would really stand out on your Nordic Green car.

I would suggest the silver or stainless.
I've seen a couple of people who have the OEM strakes that have had problems with weight...but then you remind them that the peices have tape on the back and it solves the problem. I have the OEM strakes, have not used the two sided tape, and have had no problems with themm being heavy and pulling the black trim peice out.

i have the OEM strakes on my 8. i like how they stand out against the black. IMO, since the NG is a pretty dark color, the silver/polished color would look better simply because it stands out. but each to his own.

I have never waxed my car, nor done anything special to the strakes. Just wash every week and make suure to dry them first so they don't get waterspots. The OEM ones have a clear coat on them, so it protects them from a lot of the elements that you may be worried about. I have used Mothers billet polish to clean my Racing Beat exhaust. Takes the bronzing out and shines em uup. Don't know if anyone has tried something like this on the OEM strakes, or how the results are. Good luck, you'll be happier than you know after putting them on. It really does make a significant impact to the look of your car. More than what you would anticipate given that they are so small.
Cool. Thanks for the info. That's what I was afraid of was bronzing(tarnishing). I know they say stainless steel, but I've seen stainless-stain a ton of times. The clear coat should be perfect!
