Guys go to the mutimedia thread on this forum and watch this vid--it is unbelieveable and it shows you WHY mazda put a doulble wall header on out cars. Congrats to Silvereight for doing this--he is jam up. Oh by the way thats me talking in it,

no, they used a double wall header strictly for emissions; faster light-off on cold start

 

Team-- absoulutely correct--but I bet they also did not want this glowing like this under the hood either.

they would have addressed that using other methods if it weren't for the emissions consideration

 

yeah that would def need to be wrapped before installing on my car.

my custom manifold, which is only 1/2 the wall thickness of the OBX one, didn't glow red thanks to the HPC Extreme coating

the cat pipe glowed red though
