SWEET!

They do look similar in some ways, when you see them next to each other.

I won't comment on the spoiler.... oops I just did.

At least it's a real Mazdaspeed spoiler... and not an APC bookshelf one...

The FD says to the RX-8: Welcome home my lil brother.

Those pics look great.

damn....that's a clean 7...

the spoiler is at least functional in this application. If you were driving a FWD car, then I'd make fun of you... :D

Best comparison shots I've seen, nice work. The 7 looks amazing, I'd hold onto that car.

I'm taking the RX-8 into consideration, since I now have 4 month old kids... it would be great to see them in a year or two hop in and out of the back seats...

I'm trying to make a compromise... sell the 7 and get the 8... but I need to go for another test drive. The first test drive was with a salesperson that was over 300lbs. Just imagine taking the test drive.. Being the 8 has lower TQ/HP that extra weight did not help and I don't expect to have the weight anytime in my 8 if I decide to purchase one. The sales person squeezed in and immediately reached for the A/C button... plus he wanted me to take off right away out of the lot... hmmm I replied with a no way.. i need to warm it up, I guess it's habit..

So I drive it slow around the around playing w/ the cool switches and what not then see an exit ramp... i take it with some power and damn.. the sales guy is almost forming around the center shifter console... errr.. and the car just did not feel that great in the turn...

I started to take it on the straights... turn off the A/C and took it a little past 9K... felt ok... but I know if I was the only driver, it would of pulled sooo much better...

After all that hassle, the sales person says that he'd do me a favor and ONLY mark it up $5000.00!!!!!!! That's over $40,000.00 before the interest for a touring!!! sheeeesh
I laughed and left...

btw... this was at Rockland Auto Plaza in Nanuet NY...

I hope you aren't asking about the FD, they were all twin turbo'd.

Beautiful cars....... I really admire your 7 I'd buy it off u if I hadn't already bought an 8 and wasn't afraid of killing myself. It might also be out of pity ur 7 looks like a sad puppy next to the 8 kind of like "sure toss me to the curb after all I've done for u". But then again what do I no I think the 8 has a face on it. Once again amazing cars im glad I went with black.

ditto!
In most ways ... I love the style and shape of the last gen 7 over the RX-8, but I need the use of the back seat for my 2 children's car seats ...

:p

That's exactly why I'm taking interest in the 8... :D

but in any case... it's hard to really compared a modded 7 and a stock 8...

I'm sure if I took a modded 8 and stock 7, the results would be very different...

Wow.. your 7 is tight. Is that the stock paint or repainted?

Reason I ask is that it looks brand new, just as shiny as the RX-8. Tell me, do you use Zaino hehehe

Are you talking about the RX-7 from Haverstraw??

I was talking about the Titanium Gray fully loaded Touring that was 36,000 MSRP + the markup of 5,000.
