i wondered that with thier rear caliper setup, im buyin a Gran Turismo upgrade from brembo and thats only for the front. i wondered if i could yabnk the rears off the evo and get some rotors and be done with it.....its important that the rotor sizes match as close as possible. a caliper off a 14 inch rotor of an M3 wont fit on a 12.7 inch rx8 rotor.....

I have the math results...
Front rotor RX8=12.7 inch (6 speed and auto with sport package and above...)
Rear rotor RX8=11.9 inch

Front rotor EVO IX=12.6 inch
Rear rotor EVO IX= 11.8 inch

Granted, these are figures from the 2006 evo IX which may differ from the VIII. check your boy's diameter....

In conclusion, the rx8's rotors may be about .1 inches larger but the calipers will probably fit. the only problem is mounting arrangement of the calipers themselves....i will look into rear evo conversions and rotor upgrades shortly...
