I think I'm ready to...
I think I'm ready to take the Shinka auto-cross'ing. I've thought about it for a while, and have come to the realization that a number of car clubs in the area (met some folks off of importatlanta.com) are all about numbers and track times - so I'm stuck in a crappy position. I'm not a very good driver (not that I know, anyway) as I've never driven on a track, never drag-raced the 8, nothin'.... so it's time.
Anyone have suggestions on a place to start? A time to do it? I'm listening.

The ATL region has an autocross event 1/month I think. Several folks from here go to them. The Novice Class is the best place to start.
More Seat Time = Better Driver.
Gotta start somewhere and autocross is one of the best places. It's a safe, fun way to explore the car's and driver's limits and learn a lot!

Do I need to get any "extras" or anything addition before I hit the track? When/Where do I sign up?

I will chat with you on IM tomorrow when I am back in the office. been kinda busy since we went to the hockey game. The season around here has not started for 2006 yet, but will probably start in March.
