Question 2 quick questions....

hey you guys, ive been hangin around this forum for about a year now, but i have yet to get involved here in the regional forum. as you can see, im from savannah, ga, & ive got two questions:

1st off, I am not aware of ANY track around here that i can go to, which is very disappointing. i do not have the time to make a whole weekend ordeal out of a trip to the track , so the closer to home the better. anyone have any ideas or suggestions?

2nd, i have spotted a handful of 8's here around town, & i cant help but grin & wave. anyone around here in savannah? if so, we should meet up some time, or at least talk.

thanks everyone, & happy rotoring!

Tracks, you want tracks, there is barber, VIR, Rockingham, Talladega Grand Prix, Rockingham, CMP, Patriot course (VIR), Roebling Road, Road Atlanta, ...... and the list goes on.

The SE is a great place to be, there are several of us, um, I don't have an RX8, yet, but I track my 'lightly' modded Evo...... Anyway, there is a group of @10 guys who are religious in supporting their track habit.

Roebling Road is in Pooler, GA. You couldn't be any closer to an excellent track! We're going to Road Atlanta in March. It's an HPDE with NASA. I'd highly recommend it.

Check it out there.

Roebling being repaved this year. Not sure when though.

There are several ways to get onto roebling, NASA does an event or two, I don't remember off the top of my head, but there are several "driving schools" there as well.

http://www.roeblingroad.com

We usually have two Auto-x events a year there, but none are on the books this year due to the repaving.(thats what I was told)

EDIT - I just looked at my own link, it is being repaved in July and August.

They have track days every once in a while. I believe they are on Fridays. You can look on the Roebling Road site and see. I'd recommend goign to a NASA (National Auto Sport Assoc.) event there. Or to Road Atlanta in March. A bunch of us are going to RA in March and we'd love for you to join. Come and hang out with us next time we go to the track. You'll see postings here for sure.
