can a stock rx-8 compete with a stock wrx in a race? Which car would pull from a stop? from a roll? (i am talking about a wrx NOT a STi) All in all which car has better performance?

i dont think you can start from a roll at a track so do you meanon the street?

 

In a stright line, I don't know. I over took one in the corner at a track then again coulda been the drive that sucked.

I had my *** handed to me once by a wrx made me humble for a while afterwards. he had an exhaust, but not that it really makes any difference. poor driver here

I think I can speak for alot of the older rx8 owners when I say that we didn't buy the 8 for speed. There's more to a good car than just straigh-out speed alone. I personally have outgrown the "need for speed" mentality.

Who cares if a RX8 can beat a WRX....these cars are completely different. WRX's are rally cars that have become the staple of idiots that want to race from a red light....everyone knows that a straight line is the truest form of racing

Ok I know most people didn't buy their rx8 for speed, it has way more style than speed and thats how it is. The flaming on this forum is a joke by the way, people who make posts like toca will be flamed like crazy on the forum that i am used to. First of all toca I could barely understand what you are saying, but if your motor is stock than the wrx you raced from a stop was just not even trying.

 

by the way the wrx puts out arround 170 whp and thats to ALL FOUR WHEELS dipshit, if this thing dynoed on 2 wheels like a rx8 it would be over 200.

personally, i think stock to stock, a WRX won't last 2 laps on a circuit track before the 8 start to outbrake and outhandle it and leave it in the dust...

the regular wrx would never take and rx8, it might (dependin on driver) take off faster but the 8 will beat it, now a wrx STi is different story all together. i have both RX8 and the WRX thats my winter car. nothing like awd on the winter...
