GReddy Turbo Spec's at SEMA

Check out the performance gains of the GReddy turbo kit just reported from SEMA. A 29% increase in HP to 261 HP! I am guessing this is from the AT (197 HP). So I wonder what kind of gains a 6-speed rated at 238 HP would get?! Another 29% would be at 307 HP!!!

My math could be wrong but the numbers they provided are for 32.5% over stock, not 29%. According to my figures 29% would be closer to 254HP instead of 261HP. If my math is correct we would be looking at 315HP for the 6-speeds.

I realize the math error, but I was going off the website. True it is a ~32.5% increase (from 197 HP to 261 HP). I noticed that too. So, yeah, the 6-speed would be at 315 HP. Yowzers!

Thanks for the correction though!

remember that 300bhp is only ~240whp, which is about what greddy has stated all along

125lbs-ft of torque? The author of that write-up has VERY VERY bad information.

Yeah, the 32.5% figure might even be a bit low. I went from high 170's to 232 whp with the unit. Now it is more.

Whatever the numbers are, the reporter who wrote the article needs to get everything straight! The reporter should have listed whp or bhp, MT/AT, etc. Then we would not have to waste any time thinking about stuff like this! Argh...

Agreed! yeah i think its just the same old kit. some reporter just needs to get his numbers in the same units. Its like using meters and feet in the same measurement.

Don't assume that because the 4 port engine can get X amount of power with the system that the 6 port engine can get more. Doesn't work that way. This is the same turbo that everyone has been using. It can't flow enough to get much more power. It can do 300 rwhp but that is really pushing it and that isn't going to happen using the eMAnage. How much each engine flows in relation to each other isn't really that relevant if the turbo can only flow a certain amount and an amount less than what the 6 port engine needs at high rpm's at that.

Yeah, that is true. I just wish that there is a standard/uniform way going a way about stuff. It would make things a lot less confusing. Thanks fot the insight Rotorygod!

looks like to the wheel numbers to me. 125lb-ft of torque to 176lb-ft. Which would put their baseline at 202whp. And the pic is small but it looks like a 6port intake to me.
