SF Bay Area - anyone have new nav disc?

Just wondering is anyone is using the new Navtech disc? Any local reviews about how the upgraded disc is?

Specifically, I'm wondering if they added Ron Cowan Parkway (between Oakland Airport and Bay Farm Island)? I guess I will find out soon enough.

It's kinda funny and also annoying when it gets confused and has you driving all over the place. I was driving through a forest once.

The other thing that is odd is I have a friend that lives kinda "out there". The nav only gets me close to the address. It knows the street and lets me put in the address but will only direct me most of the way, the last mile or two are on the map but the directions end before I get to where I'm going. Thankfully I had written directions when I discovered that. It seems if the address takes and the map shows the streets the dumb thing could give me the directions!!!!

It feels like you are off roading when driving on Ron Cowan. You take a road and end up tracking across an open field. Eventually, it turns into "Sally Ride Parkway".

My update shipped from San Jose, so maybe the updates are better locally. We can submit proposed map updates to Navteq's website.

I didn't know you could submit updates. I'll have to do that when I have some extra time to kill. Thanks!!

Our firmware upgrade finally arrived yesterday. I ran the upgrade and installed the new map disc. Review next week.

Sorry - it took a while. Ron Cowan is only partially on the new nav disc. I will try to post an update to the Navteq site.
