Base 8 with no fog lights

I do not like the looks of my front bumper. There are the two plastic mounting areas for the fog lamps, but no fog lamps. I do not want to buy fog lamps. Mostly becasue I could care less if they are ever turned on. I have the RB oil cooler protectors. My though is that I should dremmel out the offending plastic and then sand out the rough edges. Then the sight wouldbe the mesh oil cooler. IMHO a better look.

My concern is that removing the black plastic will show some other hideous piece of the car. I am taking my front bumper off tomorrow and will measure to see if this is the case.

Any thoughts?

If you've taken the bumper off you now know you don't want to "dremmel out" that space.
I installed my own Stainless Steel mesh over the coolers and I like the look. Sort of distinctive from all those with little round lights in the bumper.

You can "remove" the little black covers without removing the bumper to see if you like the looks of it. There are 3 screws that hold them in. It's a little bit of a pain without removing the bumper, but doable. See my post "OEM Fog lights, what am I doing wrong" in this same section. Actually taking them out isn't as hard as putting them back in.
