do you have any mods on your car? You think they'll say anything?

All of my mods are Mazdaspeed, see signature below.

They have never said anything about the modifications but that is why I went entirely with Mazdaspeed. What are they going to say?

Make sure you go to the one in Van Nuys. They have another location, Santa Clarita, and I do not know about their service department.

I usually deal with Sam in the service department but Scott is cool too.

Santa Monica Mazda, well, the manager that was there when I went my one time was a TOTAL a$$. He spent more time flirting with the secretaries than helping customers. I have never gone back.

Maybe it has changed but good luck. I would not recommend ANY car dealership/service department in Santa Monica based upon my experiences... whether with SM Mazda, SM Nissan, SM Mitsubishi... all of whom I have dealt with.

I agree, all the dealers on that strip are asses. I take the back, the people at Acura were very nice. But, all the other dealers were mean. So where is the next closes dealer? I love Galpin, but it's too damn far.

bring your car to heritage mazda in tustin if possible, i always bring my car there. gill and mary always take care of me. they are a mazdaspeed dealer and marty who is one of the top parts managers in the nation also sells aftermarket performance parts ie: racing beat etc. they are truly based off of customer service and had the #1 customer service in the region for like 3 straight years or something. i live in ontario and sometimes bring my car all the way over to tustin just to get it serviced. the only other dealer i recommend is norco mazda but they are a distance from a lot of people on this forum. if anyone has any questions on who to talk to or my previous experience, please feel free to pm me. ill lead you in the right direction. the owner of the dealership is very customer service oriented and always helps his customers. i have had nothing but posotive experience out there, they even have gourmet food on the weekends just for people waiting in service. i bought my car there and will buy any new car from them in the future.

Nix Culver City, Alhambra, Browning. Next try Tustin

Bought 9/03 from Culver City where I had been taking my FC's for years, but the head Mazda mechanic retired and they went down real fast. Tried Alhambra, but got sketchy results and later found out that they had left a main bolt off the power bar after doing a recall. Been going to Browning Cerritos (they found the missing power bar bolt), but have heard of a lot of staff changes there, recently, so am wary of them. I think I try Heritage Tustin for the current round of recalls. HTH. Gary, Newport Beach

P.S. Anyone know of a good bodyshop(s) between O.C. and Rosemead? Got a minor bumper/fender crunch to repair (ran over something dropped on the freeway that took my right foglamp out and broke the wheelwell, etc. Just missed the oil cooler, whew!). Would be nice if they would be ok returning it back w/o the bumper mounted, so I could install a RB Revi Ram Air & do the bumper, myself. I'd be willing to eat the less 20% reimbusement for going outside my insurance carrier's shops, to be assured of a good job.

browning collision center is good, their price is reasonable. although they do charge 38 dollars an hour instead of 34 like some other body shop charges
