Just moved to Orlando from Austin, TX. I was an active member of the TexasRXs and I'm looking for some new people to hang out with. Do we have any rotary powered clubs?

I work for Ben & Jerry's ice cream as the Regional Business Consultant for the Southeast. I'm off on weekends unless I'm opening a new store. So, if we don't have a club yet, we need to get some people together and get one started.

I'll be in Mickeytown from the 6th through the 10th or so. Maybe we'll drive the 8 and we can meet up at some point. I'll be staying at the African Safari hotel and will be around Orlando for the concerts on the 8th and 9th.

BTW, when my wife finds out where you work the chances are we'll meet you anyways. Is there a chance that a new store is opening while I'm in town?

 

I live in orlando, near downtown and work out by disney. There is a couple rotary clubs, mostly RX7 clubs, and meets.

I was talking with some others about setting up a monthly/bi-monthly cruise night, we would meet up, get food and then drive some back roads. We did this last week, while only 3 cars went, it was fun, we got dinner on the beach and had a good time.

 

I am in Windermere, I made it to 1 meet I have been very busy but would like to make it to a few more.

By the way Ben and Jerrys has great milk shakes!!!!

 

I'm new around here, but I was wondering why on the thread of the meeting that happened last weekend, some peole were saying until next year. Why it cannt be more often?

I would like to know those back roads... No matter if I'm at the end of the line on my AT :D ... right now I enjoy something similar everyday form work to home...

 

I'll be in NYC the 5th-9th. I'll be around the 10th and the 11th. I live behind the Mall at Millenia, which is 5 minutes from Universal Studios. I will be around the area if anyone wants to meet up and do a little lunch, check out each others rides. Maybe see if we can make this a regular thing. Back in Texas, there are all these great twisties out in the hill country, where the police do not hang out. Great runs, great small towns with awesome food and atmosphere. We had great runs every other weekend, and some dine-and-drives.
So if anyone's interested let's meet somewhere around the mall on the 10th(saturday).

You need to try and make it out on the 10th. Once we get a little interest here, I'll post a location. I definetly need to see your ride. I've been wanting to here that intake with the greddy exhaust.

I would like to go that day but I am going to Keywest the 9th - 14th for a much needed vacation. I will make it next time though

Sounds like a great idea. You know the people and the area, so let's make it happen. If we can get a few out now, maybe we can make it snowball into bigger groups later. We just need to be consistant with our efforts. Thanks and I hope we can get together.

 

if you go south down 19 towards howey and turn right towards yalaha there's some kickass roads back up that way. also if you go on 27 S towards disney there's some nice ones that branch off.

thats why i like NAV, i can just go wherever and not worry about getting lost.

 

I could do dinner rather than lunch as I work weekends, but I get off around 5-5:30 daily. I work at Sea World so I am right down the road.

 

I'll start another thread for a rotary dinner for next saturday the 10th.

 

It takes alot to get everyone together. With schedules and all, it's a bear. Just trying to get a few out for a rotary drive was pretty hard...

hey you guyz can count me in im down whenever aslong as its on the weekend!! And we do need to start a rotary club start gettin in some shows i havent seen many at any shows.

 

I won't be in the 8 after all but I'll still be in town from tonight till the 11th. I'll be checking in here to see what the meeting place will be.
