Blew my cat out

So i blew my cat out .... and i figured i will hollow out the cat ... car seems to run the same but backfires real LOUD ...... anyone else done the same .... or is there a better cat i can get that will no blow out ..... and suggstions would be great ..... i have the AEM wideband and at ideal it right around 15.2 14.6 and at WOT 12 or below and at cruise 14's sound about right .... thanks

same story with snoochies car except the backfires aren't too loud...is spits a little fire now though

what trips me out is with NO cat, it's still not turning the check engine light on for catalyst efficiency.

i recently took my 8 in for the recall, and had them check out my car as my fuel economy took a nose dive, plus i had gotten the p0420 catalyst efficiency code about 2 weeks previously, and after speaking with my service writer, reset it. it never came back in 2 weeks and 1000 miles.

yea, that'd do it alright.

but why doesn't snoochie have a cat code when he doesn't have a cat at all? wierd ****!
