Just wondering why my radio stays one even when i cut my car off...is that normal?? i think it started doing that after my car got towed to the dealership due to a flooding problem.....

 

any custom or aftermarket amps,subs,navi etc. ?

 

Does is stay on until the door is opened?

 

I do have a JL 500/1 on 2 Kicker L7 10"...but it didnt do that until after i took my car into the shop....wat could they have possibly done...

 

Mine just started doing that! Only, I know why with my car... If I have a charger plugged into one of the 12V sockets, doesnt matter if its the ashtray or the storage bin one, the radio stays on when I shut the car off. If I turn the car back on, pull the charger out and then turn the car off, the radio goes off. As long as the charger is in there, the radio stays on (the charger is not on when the car gets turned off though...). No idea why it happens. I have a model airplane and when I was charging the battery pack on the way to the park is when I noticed it. Just weird...

 

unplug the power or remote wire from the amp and see if it still does it

I KNOW WHY, crappy electronics (or user error when connecting an amp)

I bought a crappy portable DVD player to play dvds on the NAV before I hooked up the modded xbox...everytime I plugged in the power on the unit into the center console outlet the audio and nav would not turn off even after removing the keys...walking away and LOCKING THE CAR! until I turned off or disconnected the DVD player

the problem? the polarity was reversed on that POS dvd player...it would trick the relay in the car to think the car is still on! so it would keep the main room fuse on!!!!

to fix simply reverse the polarity
