looks like static lag was trying to tap into the same system for his Defi HUD. Maby you can PM him to see how it worked out.

This is gonna sound realy ghetto, but does this sound like it can work. I cannot get to the stock speedo wire. The nav recomends a tapping into a speedo wire(pulse based). Bike speedos are the same general concept of a magnet that creates a pulse when it passes by a sensor. If i was to tap into this type of setup (i would install on driveshaft) could this in theory work. I have used this on 4x4s and RC cars, but i just wanted to throw it out there for you guys too.

Takahashi

I would love to just tap into it at the ECU. HOWEVER, i have yet to see a wiring plan for the ECU for me to do this. If you have any links or diagrams for me to do this, i would greatly appreciate it.

thanks for the PM. I saw this before but without more info i was lost, ive only had the car 3 weeks and it looks like it got chop shooped. Anyway, after reading your pm and the half reading you were getting i have decided to run it without the speed sensor and see if its fine then work from there. thanks for everyones help.

That is pretty good.

If you are still unclear I can email/fax you the diagram in the Service Manual.
