How much for a 04 RX8 M/T GT?

Hello Everyone,

How much is a good offer to make to a dealer for a Titanium grey 04 Manual Transmission GT with 12000 miles? The vehicle is not certified and comes with the remaining factory warranty. The dealer is asking for 26990$ which is a bit too much.
Whats a good offer for this car?

Thanks,
Suchindra

That's way too much, I'm no expert but I'd say $22,000 is a good deal for you, but $23,500 is probably more realistic.

based on mileage, i think 26,990 is high. But does it have Nav or 6 CD or other options? Appearance package, Navigation? all those make it a fully loaded GT, but i still feel 26990 is somewhat high seing that its end of 05 already. but i'd say shoot for 23-24 ish if its COMPLETELY loaded. If it doesn't have nav or appearance package or 6 cd than 22 is fair i think

The dealer just called me to quote at 24500$, I haven't started bargaining yet, but 22K certainly seems like the fair price for this car.

Also, I have another dealer selling me a brand new 2005 MT GT with spare tire kit and the rear spoiler for 30207$ - 2000$ rebates = 28207$. How low can I get with this one?

Thanks for all your replies.

There are tons of new 05s on the lots and the 06s will be out in a month or so. Wonder what Mazda is going to do to sell all these cars.

BTW, my dealer offered me an 04 GT with 6K miles and full 4 year warranty for 23K.
