What do i need to install subs to the RX8 stock receiver?

Hey guys, i just bought a 2004 Rx8 and am picking it up 2moro, i just need to know if i can isntall my Amp/Sub in it without a problem or do i need an adapter?

I looked around the forums & was confused and really couldn't find anything, if you guys can point me in the right direction on what i might need, i'd really appreciate it.

Depends on what you want.
Infinity and others make more or less what you look for.
Tap in to the rear and/or front speakers, add power, ground, remote turn one, and you are good to go.
Sounds simple (it is) but there are choices and variations on this theme....
Need more info on what you are willing to spend 300$ 400$ or more?

Well i already have 2 10" Fosgate Subs in a box (which i have yet to check to c if it fits), & a 351s Amp that had powered them in my 2002 Mustang Convertible, i hav all the wires & stuff from my stang, but idk if i need ne adapters to plug them into my stock 6 disc Reciever.......

If your amp has High to low converter build in, you are almost set....
(Read speaker level input versus RCA plugs)
Do you have set inputs on your amp?

As for the box, might be trick, depends if it will fit the trunk opening

it has rca plugs for the back of the reciever........then the back of the subs are normal speaker cables.............


another question, does that Bose' system have a sub already? or ne type of base producing speakers?

You will need a "Line Converter” it takes speaker inputs and makes
It so it can be plugged in to the RCA of your amp.

No sub ready on the Bose....
