Finally got the 8
I've been lurking around this site for a month now and finally got my 8 yesterday. Had to wait for it for 3 weeks to truck it to me from the factory in Hiroshima (I live in Tokyo). 1.7km on it when I first got it. Wonder how many miles it'll have by next week? In fact, why am I even here typing when I should be out driving?? God I love this car... I previously owned (up until yesterday) a Mazda Attenza (i dunno what they call it stateside) but after driving this I can't understand how I could drive anything else. Velocity red by the way, don't plan on any upgrades except to the stereo. Got Navi with a mini disc and 6 cd changer, DTS and LSD of course (dunno if thats standard or not in the states) , err, what other options did i get... Umm, rx-8 floormats? LOL/ ummm, rain covers for the windows? Dunno what they're called. The list goes on with a bunch of useless things. Anyway very happy.
Did you know in Japan they sprinkle Sake wine over the 4 wheels of the car when they first buy it? Honestly! Good luck etc... Imagine pouring beer over our cars wheels in N.America.... lol
P.S The girlfriend didn't like the way she looked in the pic so I cut out her face :D

enjoy the car, (like i have to tell you that), and be safe.

What?
Did you not know that the Sake ritual is the reason that they get 250 hp in Japan? :p
Hmm, maybe I should try to pour some Absolut Vodka mixed with some lingonberry juice (Swedish party drink) on the tires, might improve the milage...
Congrats to the new car DominiJapan, it will just get better as you run it in!
Cheers, Niclas
