Just wanted to say hi to the Gulf forum...

I just got my 8 last thursday night and I've noticed that I really can't stand only hearing intake noise..

I'm looking for something quiet though... I've had 2 ls1 derivative V8's and their exhaust systems were just too resonant around town and on the freeway, and in my 99 ls1 camaro i was always getting pulled over just cause of the sound.

So I want something louder than stock but still quiet as far as exhaust goes...

I guess what I'm asking is anyone with Hymee, Greddy SP2 or RB exhaust in DFW would be willing to take me for a ride in their car to hear the exhaust in person...

I'm in Arlington but I'll drive out to meet ya'll or we can just meet at a neutral location if that makes anyone more comfortable...

I'll buy dinner to show my thanks

Actually, there's a FW meet tomorrow where you can get the chance to hear an 8 with a Greddy exhaust as well as one with Greddy exhaust & a B&B midpipe. What more could you ask for! :D

And you'll get to meet most of the FW crew while playing pool and drinking cheap beer. What more could you want? :D

I'd love to come to that meet and shoot some pool... I used to play alot of 9 ball... BUT this week is going to suck for that... I have a test weds morning and a night of beer just won't do the trick... Is that every Tuesday?

 

Yes, with a tournament the first Tuesday of the month. We're usually out until 10pm or so since we all have to work early the next day (well, if you call Mr. Ed going to work at 9:30am early... )

 

I got the RB and would be willing to give you a ride, but I also have the RB intake and RP supercat so my car is pretty loud!! I think on mazdatrix.com they have sound clips of various exhausts.

 

I have the GReddy SP2 catback and the rest is stock, I can give you a ride no need for dinner. Not sure where you are located, but let me know if you want to get together.

Jenkins, I go to church in Downtown ft worth... you know that big steeple you can see north of 30 when you're near where the old post office was?

Nah, Tuesday night isn't that bad of a night...

The gf has decided that Tues is 'our' night... makes no sense to me when near every night is 'her' night.

She loves pool so I might bring her along in the future ... Is that a kosher thing? I know how it is when that one person brings the significant other and it makes everything suck for everyone.

This Tues is just bad because I'm taking 6 hours this summer session and have a test in MicroEcon weds morningi and then work from 12-5 so i'll be completely beat.
While Econ is a joke of a class, I still gotta study so tomorrow night is pretty much out.

i think im going to orer my greddy next week..ive been debating on the greddy vs. borla...after seeing/hearing many clips from the site, i narrowd it down to the greddy..there is one clip where it just shows the tach, and the guy is revving it up and up, then engages it into drive and goes... the sound was amazing sounding...far more richer than the borla, IMO....soooo i guess . save 100bucks and get a better sounding machine

..also i ran across this last night at work on ebay...greddy exhuast for the rx8 for 504..not a bad steal....
