RX8 Driver's in the Region of Waterloo, watch out!

Notice to all RX8 driver's in the Region of Waterloo, the police are watching out for us, and with good reason.

A colleague at work was out for a walk on the weekend and told me about a red RX8 that was pulled over by the police for speeding, he was totally mouthing off to the police officer. Apparently the cop gave him a break by not pulling him over the first time he went by, said as much, but tagged him on the return trip. If you speed and get caught, suck it up, be a man, and shut up. Apparently, he also had a female passenger, great impression.

If you are a reader of the forums thanks for getting their backs up, I drive a red RX8 and work in Kitchener, time to slow down I guess.

Well said. I to drive a red 8. I hate how people ruin it for the rest of us out there. Because of this bad apple, we all now have a bad rep in that area. Lets all give this guy a round of appluse!

Truley Amazing !

It only takes one or two " Bad Apples " to create a bad rep in any given area. Bet a five$ this Police Officer may not let a front plate "missing" go by either. In all the situations between vehicle drivers and Police, when did mouthing off EVER gain an advantage.

Here's hoping the Cop does'nt hold a grudge Streetsville.

There is a safety blitz going on in the Wat. region. Cops are pulling cars over for safety and emmissions violations.

Hellbreed, with the way you drive so skillfully, you don't need to worry about cops on the road chasing you because they don't have a prayer in hell of catching you. But rather you should worry about the helicopters equipped with machine guns that the cops will call in for assistance becuase that is their only hope of finding/catching you. So, in summary, when passing through the Waterloo area, look out the sunroof occassionally as opposed to the rear view mirror because that is where the opposition will actually be!

also in cambridge

I have a heavily moded RX8,cops leave me pretty much alone..i finally got pulled over 2 weekends ago for no front plate
90 fine...and then proceeded to talk about the turbo kit and all the other mods.
Cops are ok,but i agree..people giving them the gears only stirs the pot.

hell, i dove my 2nd gen like an ***..for years..half the cops didn't know what it was and didn't hassle you.
Now...more younger kids are getting them so now everyone gets yanked

Just purchase the valentine one...ive had it in rx8 for almost 2yrs..saved my *** large :D

Second note:
thinking of having a pinic on my property in drumbo for the rx8 owners..i have 20 acres
think it would fly?
grass,barbeque and my pool?

Wink $ 90.00 Fine for no plate.

I was wondering about that, had not heard what the " official " Ontario penalty for missing front plate was. Was this OPP or a local Cop essentialspeed ?. ( no points ? )

My guess is they won't buy the " car wash, broken waiting for replacement story ". A fine or warning is entered into Police computer with the drivers Licsense/ plate number would be my guess. Making a second ticket more severe, not sure though.

" grass then Barbeque " makes sense to me :D
