I really love the Mazdaspeed spoiler, but... Why is it so damn expensive? Any good alternatives out there, and/or cheaper places to get that Mazdaspeed adjustable?

 

Check out carsoption.com. I've heard good things and their replica is $230. I'm going to get that one for my birthday. :D

 

you can buy the rotary extreme CF replica for 450 now. It has metal brackets. i bought mine from mazdaparts from thew, shipping was a bit cheaper. Not up on the site anymore on mazdasparts but still on rotaryextreme.

 

The carsoption.com wing is great. Can't complain. :D

 

I installed the MS spoiler this weekend and the picture on carsoption.com looks identical.
Even with paint, it is much cheaper.
Too late for me, but everyone else can enjoy the savings !

This spoiler made a huge change in how my car looks.
I never liked the factory spoiler for some reason.
It looks much more aggressive now. I love it.

IMO i hate the MS spoiler... i liked it until i saw it in person. i know of others who really dont like it either, i guess u hate it or love it.

IMO the mintblue spoiler looks best or the one that another8owner has

 

I personally like the Ings+1 wing

The only reason I didn't go with MS is because of how it blocks your rear view... then on top of that, I have the MS sidemirrors, already limiting my side view... both blocking, not good.

Many people hate it... but I like the XMen (or I wouldn't have got it). Although I didn't like it at first.

its not that expensive... from a small garage here in my city (im in canada) i can get MS painted for around $600 and the MS CF for $995

What did it cost you to get the spoiler painted?

 

I'm from the camp that says spoilers are useless anyway. So I like the X-Men wing because, to me, its a big F-U to ricers (upside-down spoiler anyone?). :D Beyond that, I think it matches the RX-8's styling very well, and I plan on getting one as soon as my functional/comfort mods are complete (tinting, interior stuff, etc.).

 

Yeah, how much would it cost to paint the carsoption MS replica wing ?

 

i liek teh MS one..but it is pricy..i don' tmind the stock spoiler....but i'm still on teh fence as too which one i'll get :p

 

I know most of you don't like GT wings but I have a Rotora 3D-2 CF gt wing & I like it.

 

I like the stock spoiler.

 

You get used to it I find the MS mirrors ok for view, if you set them correctly and with the MS wing set flast you only lose half an inch across the middle of the rear. Better than the CTD spoiler I had before where I lost the bottom 1/3 of the rear view.

But have to agree carsoption wing is identical to the real thing, once painted you'd never be able to tell.
