some constructive criticism:
- lose the moonroof deflector
- get strakes
- get tint

 

Holy crap that paint looks awesome...and the rear-window sticker is the BEST! :D

 

I say get tint and lose the BUSH CHENEY thing in the back window he is an *** ..... But other then that your car is very clean looks good

 

Oh yeah, I bet you didn't bring that Bush/Cheney sticker to Italy with ya

Nobody peels off a sticker, and carries it with them to Italy.

thanks all. I figured the Bush sticker would polarize people, but I didn't intend to start a political debate here (not that anyone is). Anyway, most people think the moonroof thing is stupid, I don't really have an opinion one way or the other about it...it could stay or go, whatever. Tint would be cool, I might do that sooner or later. I'd love to put the strakes on too, but honestly what mazda dealers charge for them is way beyond outrageous, so I'd have to find some much cheaper ones and I'd do it.
About being in Italy, I actually have a "proud republican" shirt which I wisely left at home. Generally I find that Italians are misinformed, tree-hugging hippies who are afriad of war because of their experiences in WWII. Just ignore them, their government (luckily smarter than they are) supports us, so we're good. How many Italians have I pissed off now? Probably most of them. Mi dispiace se lo leggete, sto scherzando!

Love the car and everything about it... except maybe the moonroof thing, but like you said that could stay or go.

is it a pain in the *** to get the moonroof deflector off? isn't it screwed to the body?

 

it is screwed in but it looks to me like a power screwdriver could probably get it out, i looked at it one day but I didn't try to remove it. I'm sure someone here has taken it off before.

 

wondering if it would leave holes in the body

 

The wind deflector is held on with two clips. It is not attached to the body of the car. Just unscrew the two screws and slide it back and up. The two brackets actually fit into a slot that runs inside the moonroof area.

Hey your headlights are the standard h7's, I thought all sport package and above come with HID's. Anyways, nice VR man, I got the same but its the base. What's next?
