Changed front bulbs...so disappointed with the results

Well, I bought a couple of superwhite bulbs from Autoillumination with the intention of matching my parking lights and corners to the same level of whiteness the Xenons have. Unfortunately, the color is closer to blue than white, and the color difference is definitely noticeable up close. Aside from the offset look, what I'm concerned is the potential for getting pulled over for the bluish corners. I figured a pure white corner might've escaped notice at a glance, but a bluish corner is definitely noticeable.

Then there's also the amount of time it took me to install everything. Four painful hours of sweating, twisting my wrist all over the place, cursing, etc only to have the color not work out. I'm sooooooo disappointed. Those parking lights especially were insanely hard to get to. I just love Mazda's instructions for getting into the lights. Just peel back the bumper, and somehow you can magically pull out those sockets from there. Yeah, maybe if you were a midget.

The only successful thing I got out of the installation was stealth bulbs for the blinkers. Those were an insane pain to get to too.

Now my question is...can anybody point me to a RELIABLY TRUE superwhite 194 bulb that would match the Xenon's white intensity? I've seen some pics of other people's cars where it's been done, so there must be bulbs out there. I sooooo do not look forward to redoing those parking lights, but I guess I have no choice. Bluish white just looks so off.

Yeah, I took a closer look at your previous pics which was where I originally thought it was pure white all across. But now that I've seen mine, I notice yours have that same bluish tint. Guess it really can't be done. It is at least better though than the stock yellowish white.

I guess I'll run around a bit for now with the bluish white corners and see if I run into any trouble with them. Here in my town there are a LOT of ricers, and things like white blinkers are common. A few cars have ground light kits. But I haven't seen too many people changing their corner lights.

Wow...I replaced the side markers and driving lights as well. Took maybe 45 minutes tops for all of them. Did you actually remove the bumper? Dangggg....

I actually like the way mine turned out...not very blue at all. In fact they look quite similar to the xenons. The pic below makes all the lights look kinda blue, but they don't look quite like that in real life.

BTW, I used PIAA Xtreme White 194s from Ebay...they had Japanese writing on the package.

The left side parking light wasn't *too* bad, just removed the fuse cover and tried to wriggle my hand behind the light to twist it off. The right side one though was insane, as the fuse box on the right that's near the battery leaves very little room to put your hand behind the parking light. Is this how you did yours, or is there some method I'm not seeing?

Yep the right side one was definitely harder. I had to take off the battery cover and the ECU cover...but once those were off it took maybe 5 min. more to wiggle the light out and replace it. I had a friend shining a flashlight through the front of the light "socket", so that helped too.
