Here's a couple of pictures of STAR MAZDA racing and the new 3-rotor Courage at speed. There are also a couple of links to some small (sorry all my camera would do today) videos of the 3-rotor idleing. I can say she sounds sweet and the smell .... well it is unique.

Yeah ... camera was acting up a bit ... but it is sorted out now. I'll see what I can get.

 

The Mazda prototype did sound sweet! It had good looks to match. I won't be able to attend the race tomorrow but hope to catch that one on TV.

The coolest thing is that I can look at the pictures and know what turn they are in. I know what's going through their head, even though it's going through much quicker than when I experienced it. Makes it more personal. It's on speedtv today at 1:00 pm. I've got a soccer game so it's going to have to get recorded.

Wonder how fast they are taking the turns. Phlash69 went down turn 12 at 110 mph and I was able to start turn 1 at 83 mph. Damn that was fun!

 

Yes, those photos bring back fond memories of my first experience with some great people, at a nice track, doing something new.

Too bad they only showed the Courage for a few seconds in pass by shots on T.V. I heard it a couple of tiems really quickly. It was the only one that sounded like an F1 car going by.

Off topic a bit: If you look at the size (small) of the air inlet to the engine, you can see that a 400hp 3 rotor engine only needs that much air to breathe. Why do people still keep trying to make things larger?

 

People like to make things larger, whether or not it is beneficial because they think bigger is always better. For some guys it seems to be easier to get a penile implant than to learn the many ways to please a lady. :p

Hey guys-

Just back from Road Atlanta and the ALMS. What a terrific time!!! Got to lay hands on the 3-rotor Courage. Also got to talk with the crew and drivers ... several RX owners in the bunch by the way .

Anyway, if you get the chance, I highly recommend attending one of these races. They are well put together and fan oriented.
