If you had to get a car other then the 8, based on ur current financial status what would it be.

I would probably get a WRX since it would be a great Daily Driver here in NY and I can AutoX it.

AWD, Good Power, 4dr, Affordable Insurance

I would of got a M3 or G35 coupe but my friends have those cars already so no need to get the same.None of my close friends has a Rx-8 so that made my decision a lot easier & the fact that I was always a fan of the Rx-7 R1 twin turbo which was my dream car when I was in high school but I couldn't afford that in high school & I did not want the help of my parents.Everything I own I got it on my own.

That would be the STI. Not twice as much, but not too far off either. The WRX may have still been a bit more then rx8, but not by much.

Some guy posted a little chart he made of fuel costs and insurance to justify the 8. It had the STI at 800 dollars a year more for insurance, or about 50% more than an 8. Not anywhere near twice as much. Based on that, the WRX would probably be the same as the 8, maybe less. Anyhow, 800 dollars a year is no reason to choose one sports car over the other. I difference worked out to 600 dollars per year when you factor in how thirsty the 8 is.

Oh yeah, and I would get a Bell 430 :D

I would probably wait one year and pick up a Pontiac Solstice in black.

yeah, i saw that chart, if i remember correctly, the sti was around $2400. i didn't check with my ins. company so i don't know exactly what it would be for me, but the rx8 is around $1100/year for me. hence, 2x as much. again, thats assuming that the sti was infact 2400/year...but we're getting off track here.

back on track, i was also thinking about the g35 when looking at the 8. i'd also like to have an imported r33 or r34.

You can't really judge like that, I pay $67 a month for my WRX. Last I checked on the STi it would be in the area of $1300 a year. If I were to move 5 blocks away into a different zip code it would be over $2000 a year just for for my WRX.

If I could'nt get an 8 I would wait for the 2006 Mustang 500 cobra , thats if it ever will happen. But if I had the money and could get the 8 of my choice I'd spring for the $60,000 conversion Acosta motorsports.com could offer me. ohh fr#ggin hell yea, wuohhh, whoooooo!!!!!!

Came down to RX8, G35 & S2000. If I had not gotten the RX8, I probably would have gotten the G35.
