What if there was an all RX-8 event to be held, and I mean large event, at VIR some time this summer. We would have a car show, vendor row displaying some of the newest and innovative products out for the RX-8, door prizes, and awards, track time would be allowed, and hopefully we would have demos from teams like SpeedSource and other pro RX-8 race teams. I am gauging interest and gathering information to hold such an event, I plan for this event to be lasrge which means I need sponsers which means I have to prove interest. So who is interested and who would attend? Feel free to check out the VIR site, it is truely a great Complex: www.virclub.com. If anyone has anyother ideas for things to happen at the event please let me know, I have got aslot more planned but I need to do some more research.

 

No comments, come on guys this is a great chance to get out on a great track with our great machines. I plan on having alot of pro RX-8 raceing teams come out and do demos for us and I also want to see if I can get one of them to lead everyone out on the track.

 

Too far away for me to just go and hang out and do parade laps on the track.

Sorry Imp, I apologize for my improper editing. I like your avatar. It would be more than a parade lap but unless you are one of the demos teams or you have the proper equipment I can't let you do more than the basic driving day, ie. follow the leader. But it isn't going to be any slow passed parade lap I will make sure it is enjoyable and worth your while. I have prepared a sort of base map of operations for the event. Basicly we will have the North Course open to us and everything in red is what I have written in.

 

Would be nice to have somthing like this on the West coast. A question though; What does this have to do with (racing) competition?

I would only be interested if there was auto-cross or road race involved. Seeing how i match up with others who have similar cars would be beneficial.

 

Actual I was thinking about that and w are going to have an autocross event. The pad where registration is will be used an autocross.

 

looks like it want be happening this summer, unless you guys want to do it on a weekday, because they are all booked up.

 

We have the MAZ Fest in May.

Problem is there are too many pussies here in Calf. No one want to take it to the track.
