It's pretty peppy for a 4banger, shifts well and above all, it's really comfy. It handles quite well given its size... I have come to feel that comfortable in the RX-8 now, but the Mazda3 is a great baby brother for that, and given that I get 26mpg (average, with my driving), it's a welcome change as well!
