I just spoke with Paul from Extreme Imports and he was telling me about someone with a Silver RX-8 that had nothing done to it except Canzoomer, just like mine. He said they played with the maps and eventually dynoed at 172 HP! Damn, who's car was that?

Remember, we dynoed there last month and the highest we could get with the e-manage was less than 160 HP. And this was a Mustang Dyno, which reports smaller numbers compared to Dynojet (20 - 30 HP difference from what people say here)

Mustang dyno's usually how much lower figures.

what gear did he dyno in? We did ours in 3rd and 4th when it shouldve been 5th. 172 is a nice figure on a MD.

 

Well, Paul's trying to contact that guy and wants to look at his maps again. He will tell me about how he did it. Paul was actually one of the guys who played with the map. I guess they were kinda dyno-tuning it a bit rather than just plain dyno pulls like we did.

 

Not on this Mustang Dyno. When we had our dyno day last month, out of the 4 RX-8s, 156HP was the highest to be produced. The 170 - 180's range were done with Dynojet.
