%@#@%@ Plastic Bag

So I was out driving at lunch today, and when I came back to my car I notice that I had a half-melted plastic bag clinging to my muffler. Needless to say I am pissed about the look and the smell it makes, but does anyone know how to get the damn thing off of there?

Happened in my Miata, too... after scraping off what you can, do some high-speed driving to cook the rest off... preferably on the highway so you don't have to stop and smell it : )

yeah it stinks pretty bad, I noticed the smell before I ate, then saw it afterwards. What sucks is that I can't do it all weekend because it's supposed to rain the whole damn time

Mine pretty much got cemented on muffler, and by the time I got around to cleaning it off, it wasn't budging. I just let it toast itself, and after about 4 weeks I wasn't able to smell it anymore.

Same thing happend to my mother in law in her mini van, it stinks for a good while unless you remove it yourself.

I treat plastic bags on the road like if it was huge rock...I avoid it as much as I can without getting into an accident.

I never even saw it, for all I know it could have been blowing around right after I parked and hit the hot muffler and stuck. I didn't see it until I was walking back to my car and was like AAAAAAAHHHHH
