I'm looking for shinka body kits ie already painted in the black cherry...has anyone seen them? :o

 

thats a good question does the MS come in Black Cherry...

 

I did some calling and checking for Shinka parts not too long ago and came up with a big fat nothing. I called some of the vendors here and if I remember correctly, Trussville hasn't even seen a Shinka!!!! Good luck finding what you need. If all else fails, you could always take it to a really good paint shop. I could recommend one here in TX, but that would be quite a drive for you......

 

I too have a shinka and have looked for kits (more just to see what there is). I have not seen anything yet. I did find some touch up paint but that is not hard since there are miatas that are black cherry also.

I used to work at a local auto dealer bodyshop doing some custom work... Humm maybe I get into the paint booth one weekend

When you say Kits, I'm assuming you mean the real Dealer MS Kit. It took awhile after the release of the White RX-8 to get their MS Kit parts.. and they cost more than the other colors. So I would expect the same with the Shinkas... will have to wait a bit longer since it's still new/limited... and then it will cost about $100-200+ Each part more for the MS Kit.

 

I think they will come out soon. Didn't the white take a while to be available ?

You're probably going to have to get the dealer to paint it, I don't see them making the bodykits in Black Cherry, since they're only producing a couple thousand of the cars

 

that would look really nice with the MS kit on a shinka!

 

Good question, been wanting to ask that...

Mazdaspeed kits maybe, but what happen with other kits? Any shops can do the exact black cherry color? I think thats really hard to do, and what happen if there are some paint damage, scratches, etc.

I remember my friend had a custom colored car, and it took a few days just to mix and match the paint when he got a scratch, even then, its not accurate.

Scary...

 

I finally heard back from my dealer......they are not available from MS in the black cherry but he says if I bring in the parts they will paint......at a price of course, extremely expensive if you factor in the price of the primered parts.....I just may have to wait until they hopefully become available.

 

Even if they do become available.. it will cost at least if not MORE than the White MS Kit parts... and look at the price they are.

No matter what, you can expect at least 3k+ for the Shinka MS complete body kit... and the wing is going to be at least another 1k.

 

Clarification on the body kits: I came to find out that my dealers expensive quote on paint included the price of the parts...I have asked him to give me a quote on parts, paint and install on
1. front splash guards
2. side aero flares
3. rear spoiler
