Eurtehane MS kit?

Anyone have the eurethane mazda speed style kit how does this hold up and is it very hard to install and if i bump a speed bump is it going to shatter? just a few questions... My situation is i have a rx8 with appearence package no spoiler and i want to do soemthing to the body like a kit prolly the mazda speed kit but i only have about a grand right now to work with i cant afford the real kit or id get it, so im considering eurethane stly. Anyone have any experience with this kit or maybe some suggestions on other routes i should take, i was also thinking about jsut getting the mazda speed side skirts.... \

Thanks

I have the polyurethane kit but not installed yet.Urethane doesn't shatter, fiberglass does. That's why urethane kits cost more than fiberglass kits(not talking about the orignals)

Rotary extreme sells one in eurethane that looks like the mazda speed. I was just on the phone with them today and they said it is an exact fit, just unpainted. And it is cheap compared to the mazdaspeed.

it's urethane guys :p. Some people might like it but fyi, the urethane ms replica uses a direct replacement of the rear bumper unlike its orignal which adds on to the rear bumper. Besides re, mazdaparts.com carries them too i think. The kit is close to a grand i think, just don't know how much paint would cost.

Vision Autodynamics were the exclusive distributors of this kit. My car was the prototype for the kit. The major differences are the obvious rear bumper (with air dam) and the front bumper incorporating the fenderline from the RX8. I think they are a vendor on the forum.

I'm liking the rear bumper since I got rear ended and I wanted MS rear.... long story but I want the rear.

So Rotaryextreme gets their kits from VIsion Autodynamics? Sounds feasible since they shipped it from LA to me & their shop is located in Fremont, Ca. You said it fits fine too.Does it need much mods to make it fit or it pretty much needs to be painted & ready to be installed without triming or cutting? I has my just painted but didn't install it yet since my car is in a custom audio shop building my system.

The MS rear bumper isn't a full replacement. So, unless just the black plastic stuff at the bottom is damage (which is what the MS kit "covers"), you'll still need the upper part of the bumper. Just FYI if you didn't already know.

I was talking to mikeb about this, but there is a urethane MS Style kit for $799. Same exact kit that you guys are talking about. If you want more information, go ahead and just post and I'll give you guys it.

i think she meant the replica which does replaces the whole rear which is the one reason I don't like the replicas.

I've seen the rotary extreme MS side skirts. They suck. They are not an exact copy of the real MS side skirt. Aside from that, the side skirts sag. From my personal experience, get the real MS side and rear. The fake front urethane is pretty good.

i heard some bad reviews about that company over here on the boards. I think someone inquired about those urethane kits before and someone said their customer service is not up to par. So I would stay away from that ebayer.

It's urethane... therefore you're going to need a bodyshop that knows how to treat urethane (correct priming and sanding). I'm going to make it real easy for anyone who wants to buy this kit. Call Vision Autodynamics at 877-423-7654... and punch in extension 101... and tell him AJ sent you and if he won't give you any special pricing say "and AJ said my name is Rick James Bitch."

Here is the prototyping picture:

Again look at the front fender... Mazdaspeed's never had that fender that comes on your factory front bumper. This is not a direct knock-off using crap quality material... true it's based off Mazdaspeed's but modded to make the kit look "complete."

FYI: my car went to the shop for fitting and test fitting for like five times... the fit had to be perfect. Also my car went into a bodyshop known for getting cover pages at Import Tuner.

Hmm, your car was tested for fitting five times.Hope my kit will fit right(if not they better fix it until it fits right ) since I think they only test it once & then painted it.I left the car & the kit there & picked up the car the next day to drop it off to the audio shop. The kit is sitting at the bodyshops storage right now until my car is done at the audio shop.
