please.....RSX!!! haha

http://forums.clubrsx.com/archive/in.../t-187656.html

someone actualy said the RSX looks better than the 8!! LMAO

whoa some people here are nuts..... RX-8 overrated and being some pos... WTF! Lmao.
For a car that costs thousands of dollars more than the RSX-S and relatively runs the same 1/4 mile yes, the car is overrated. need me to spell it out?
O-V-E-R-R-A-T-E-D

Do you want me to talk about the mileage? or how about the dissappearance of 50hp? Maybe, you want to discuss how it eats oil like a baby drinking milk. (worse than the rsx, might i add) Or, the strange door configuration, try getting out of the back seats at the same time as the driver. Did i mention the weak aftermarket support it has? yeah, that too (as compared to the 350z, rsx, s2000).

If i see a rx-8 on the road, i laugh at the guy who brought it, when he could have easily purchased a 350z, or a s2000 which is suprior to the rx-8/rsx in all aspects.

I have both cars and I can say I prefer the Rx8 more, more responsive, easier to drive fast, and steering feel is just so much better. It's actually a better driver's car than the RSX. Hell, when my mom drove them, she prefers the Rx8 too. :O

I have a VR 8 and my roommate has a silver RSX. Parked next to each other in the driveway and even following each other on the road, the 8 gets more looks. She loves to ride in my car and would have gotten her own except it was out of her price range.

former RSX Type-S Owner

Hey,

My new RX-8 is broken in (or at least as broken in as I could stand before I just HAD to take her to the *BEEP* (740 miles)). I have had the car for about 3 weeks now and I can tell you that the overall quality of the car and or handling is so much better then the RSX Type-S.

As far as power goes sometimes it feels like my RSX-S was faster, but I did have a CAI and exhaust as well as the I-VTEC that gave you that extra little boost that made it "feel" like you were going faster. The RX-8 *IS* quicker then the RSX-S, it just does not feel like it.

As far as styling goes - you just can not compare the two. I tolerated the looks of the RSX-S, but I LOVE the looks and lines of the RX-8.

I drove an RSX while teaching my friend to drive stick (it was his new car) and I've got to say that I was pretty disappointed. The takeup on the clutch was so vague and loose that I was having trouble describing what the engagement point should feel like and eventually had to tell him to simply watch the tach like a hawk. The driving position was also pretty nasty. I couldn't get comfortable for the life of me. I never got to push on the car, but those two factors alone were enough to drive me straight away from it. Plus it's front wheel drive, so there's one more strike right off the bat. I'm glad I got my 8, and I'm definitely glad I didn't waste my money by picking one of the cars that won the magazine races, I doubt I would have been very happy driving one of those (might have been happy with the G35, but I also would have been paying a whole lot more).

Immature brats who act out like that do so out of insecurity over their own decisions. People who truly love their cars generally acknowledge and repsect other owners and their choices. You'll notice that many RSX-S owners posted good things about the 8 too

Nobody take offense, but these X-car vs. RX-8 threads are getting pretty tiring... I won't even justify this particular comparison with an argument.

I can't believe I get sucked into reading them so easily... must... resist....

If you read it, most people give the RX8 the thumbs up.

The critic doesn't like the 1/4 mi time.

He thinks if you spend more money the car should be faster in the 1/4.

What about SUV's and luxury cars?

What about them? they're not sports cars and aren't built to go fast, although some will outrun the 8.

Once again why does anybody care what they think, good or bad? Of course they think their car is best. Who the hell is going to drop $30K+ on an RSX, EVO, whatever and say "yes that RX-8 is a much better car than mine"? Better is only defined by the individual. Worse is defined by insecurity.

Heelntoe's on there. Cool Couldn't tell that that was an RSX club at times. Some of those people seemed more of RX8 fans.

Let me guess, soccer moms late for kiddies practice?

Some of those sedans have suprising pull though. The XJR is like riding a jet powerd cloud.

Soccer moms only sometimes. Sadly, I came across a conversion van last week that was dead set on red-light racing and cutting me off at any opportunity he could. He didn't succeed of course, but it was closer than I thought trying to get away from him

I have a 12 inch E-peepee. Anyone with a 11- inch E-peepee , i feel sorry for you. That is too small!. And I don't care if you can make your 11 incher into 13 inches with the use of a pump, it's not the same!

When are people gonna accept the fact that people love different cars. We love our RX8, but there are people who will not like the looks or the performance. These cars we mock are around for a reason. People on other sites have just as much enthusiasm as we do about their cars, and instead of understanding and respecting it, we feel the need to try and disprove them? This is why we are here, and they are there. They have the same preferences about their cars we we do ours. It is indeed immature to criticize other cars in order to justify the car you own. Why not appreciate others because after all, we are all different, and the better car is only what's in the eye of the beholder. Threads like this are a waste, and only serve to those who can only get by in life by putting others down. I'm glad I am not that way, and I can appreciate other people, and their preferences without feeling the need to put them down just to make myself feel better.
