S.o.s. !!! !

Dear Fellow RX 8 owners,

My CEL recently came up whilst drivin !

As my 8 is a Japanese Spec Type S, my local Mazda agent refuse to look at my car juz becoz I did not purchase the car frm them.

A fren of mine has a plug and play canscan tool, after pluggin into my ecu, the followin error code was reflected.

P00172 - System too rich
U00073 - Control Module Comm Bus Off

Can someone tell me wats goin wrong and how I can solve the prblem, especially error code "00073" - Can I switch the control module bus to " On" and how ?

Desperado !

Friend,

The ODBII canscan does give some weird codes doesnt it?meanin the codes are not listed in the RX8 tech manual at all...:X A blessin is dat it does say or show wad the problem is in english which is good :P

Anyways, u can bring it to Alex at AMK industrial Pk 2 to let him check it out.. HEs pretty cool in diagnostics n stuff.. Or u can bring it to GR and have A teck or Lester do a check, dey haf the manuals n werks ther too...-_-)b

Good Luck

Code P0172=See the attachments.

Code U0073=CAN system communication error. That is, this is not a problem with the car, but rather with the device connection with the PCM.
