Question HIDs

Ok. I want better HIDs on my 8. I know stock is around 4500 and I want to upgrade to 8 or 9 k.

My question is what bulbs do I order if I just want to change the main driving light bulbs.

Pretty simple, yet I don't know.....

I was thinking about going to discount auto parts right after i got a response. :D

First of all, be prepared to yank off your bumper, and remove the headlights. Second I wouldn't go with anything over 8k. There's very little light output compared to your 4k's. It also depends on what color your looking for:

These are 6k... Like mine :D

These are 8k... like RotaryRasp's

Both great looking, but mine have more light output.
I recommend you go to where ever rotaryrasp got his, since he upgraded the stock HID system.

Question

I'm gonna go with 6k.

So I need 6k DS2 bulbs?

6k are super white, correct?

^Yeah, like he said, stay under 8K. Anything less does not produce enough lumes.

6K are bright white
8K are sky blue

Super white with a purple hue, no yellow at all. Awesome color and output. Best of both worlds.

Hmm...they sell D2S bulbs for $49 at http://www.globalpremier.com/

Begs you to wonder if this company is truly legit and or is a crappy brand.

On a side note, has anyone ever purchased D2S bulbs from there ? I may want to buy them from that site later on if its a reliable store.

Well, I went to a few stores and the guys that *tried* to help me out weren't all too helpful.

I'm just gonna order online and avoid any hassles.

I just bought the bulbs. I already had the stock HID system. I just ordered a H11 8000K HID kit for my fogs, I should have them by the end of the week.
