im starting to really miss my rx-8,..... had to sell her for financial reasons a few months back, i do like my new 99 Eclipse GSX also... but its not the same.

i really worked hard to save enough $$ for it so i guess it was alittle more special


but i dont miss that horrible gas milage, lol
or the 0 tourque


but the handling of the rx-8 was far supirior

Have you considered getting the new Miata and then turbocharging it? Someone said the suspension comes right from the RX8. Is this true?

It's tough for me because I have to drive my work truck to work every day. So I can only see her at night. It makes seeing the wife that much more difficult :D . I only put 7000 miles on my 2003 6s when I traded it in after two years. I think the same thing will happen with the 8.

Is the GSX stock? Lotsa fun to be had with that car if you're into modding stuff. I too miss the turbo rush/torque of my GS-T sometimes (but not the lag). And you've got a much nicer stereo. And AWD. And decent fuel ecomony and range.

And, if done right and not riced out, I think the 2nd-generation DSMs look great.

Not to hijack the thread, but this was mine after a waxing (a few months before selling for the 8). Needed slightly larger wheels and to be 1" lower... but still IMHO a nice-looking 6-year-old car (at the time).

Just sayin' being "stuck" with a GSX/GST ain't exactly a prison sentence, lol.

 

Actually it was rather easy since she posted almost as many comments on here as Josh did. I remember both of their names due to some of the past flaming they took for posting her pics. A very nice young couple.
