Hmmm free food eh? That's nice of you! How about May 7th?

You beat me to it but I was thinking of having an informal meet for lunch or something in March

what about the salt? I'm slow this morning and confused. I like the idea of a meet, though.

Heh heh ... i don't doubt that your rx7's can beat the stock rx8. Nice to hear the turbo hiss that vid. Ha ha take that STI.

Don't worry, you rx7 guys can keep your salt secret. We rx8 guys use garlic powder to improve air intake ... uhhh wait that's our secret. Forget you heard that .. ha ha. I make no sense.

I'll meet.

I'm in for a meet of some sort or other, but what's with putting up all the dough for hot dogs and bubbly? I'm sure that the attendees ought to be able to pony up for what they consume.

Otherwise it sounds too much like a government operation. That stuff doesn't belong in Alberta.

Blue....the RX7 meet sounds good but we need to do something before that. What happened to the talk of a lunch gathering?

well for one... it really isnt that much.. the only pain in the butt part is gettin the bbq down there... if you want a non govt reason why i bring dogs and pop.. lots of people help me for free... i have learned so much from write ups and "graham" coming over to stare at the same ol engine before i dove in a little bit.. want to give back. for you guys.. i want to put that ottawa rotary meet to shame! and havin 8's at the cochrane run last year was fun!... even though we really didnt talk ot each other!

Nubian, sorry to hijack your thread BUT ...

I was thinking of a lunch gathering maybe Saturday March 12th at 11:30-noon. Anybody got any ideas of a place we can meet? I was thinking of Pete's Drive In on 16Ave. Hopefully it's nice out that day. What do you guys think?

Great spot, love the burgers, only one problem, not much parking, south lot is available but pretty packed, too busy, how about same day and time but another location? There's a Tim Hortons on 58th Avenue south east, that has a good parking lot or there is a 50's type dinner on 11st Street by the old Costco, That has a good size parking lot.
Just a thought...

I like my Peter's Drive In burgers but I was there this morning (Saturday) and I could see the parking lot getting full and lots of jerks around that are more than willing to whack their car doors into ours. Hmmm ... we should get some pylons or Civics to form a perimeter. Ha ha.

I like Buddman's idea of the 50's diner, though.

Sounds perfect...the food sucks there but nobody really goes there for the food.

I second the motion...
