Front spring install problems?

I had a chance to install the front springs tonight and after installing the springs, the car looks pretty much like it was stock height. I forgot to measure the stock height before the install so I couldn't see if the springs made a difference. I was wondering what I could have done wrong when installing the springs. i'm thinking that maybe I should wait and let the springs settle in but shouldn't the car be a little lower than stock even before i let them settle? Another reason could have been that I preloaded the springs wrong. What is the proper way to preload the front springs? Any suggestions would help. thanks in advance.

which springs? racingbeat front springs really didnt change the height THAT much.. though noticeable, u need to squint a little bit haha. uhmmm give ur car a little time to settlie in. 2 weeks or so and it should be set finally. doubt that its an install error and you're just worrying too much

bump. So my front springs have been on for quite some time now, and still haven't really noticed a difference, maybe just a little. Can someone explain the preloading steps to me? I don't want to install the rears if I'm having problems with the front springs. Someone please help!!!!

Specifications NF210 lowers the vehicle an average of 1 1/4~1 1/2in (30~40mm) without sacrificing the stock ride quality.

It is actually possible to install them incorrectly.
If the perch is not rotated to the right position when the shock is reassembled, it might ride up in the cup and add .5" or more to the spring length.
The shop manual is very specific on the reassembly steps, so Mazda must have had some concern about this.

As I was backing out my car today, I noticed a little puddle of some filmy substance. I checked my car and the shock is all greasy. I think that there could be something wrong with my shock. Maybe it's damaged? haha most likely... How do I know for sure that my shock is busted? I'm really considering getting coilovers now because I dont want to deal with problems that I am having with this.
