So I was on my way to the gas station... hahah just kidding! I got a call from a friend about some new wheels he wanted to test fit on the RX-8 so I tried these on for size & they fit pretty well.

What do you all think? Can you guess what they are?

Here's the tech specs:
18x8 in size, 5x114.3 bolt pattern, 48mm offset, 73mm center bore, hyper silver finish, hubcentric rings are recommended (they go on tomorrow), the TMPS will not work on it, & they're cool. BTW: I blacked out the center caps to at least make this somewhat of a challenge.. if that!

 

I would guess BBS or ASA.

they look like knockoffs of the BBS RXs. maybe they are enkeis??? I think they are ok, but I don't think they look great on the 8.

They look like T.S.W. and god awful on that car. That design makes them look like they are 16" rims.

 

"God awful" is a bit harsh. The factory rims look better for sure, though.

 

back in the day, my buddy had BBS RX knockoffs like that on his silver 96 civic. Looked good on that car, but I'm not a fan w/ them on the 8.

Folks, the guy just spent a bunch of money on new rims, and all some of you can say is that they're ugly and/or look horrible. Imagine how that would make YOU feel if you had been the one to shell out the money? Sheesh.

If can't you say something nice, don't say anything at all.

I do like the BBS or BBS type mesh wheels. And they won't get nicks as quick as the stock wheels!...now change your sig pic!

 

He didn't buy those. He said he had a buddy who wanted to see if they fit. I think they look good. I'm generally not a fan of this type of rim, but they look fresh(?) on that 8. I'm actually thinking about 5Zigen Heidfelds, which are similar, but not quite as busy.

 

BTW, they are very similar to BBS rims, but I don't think BBS makes a one-peice in that style do they?

I mean I know I dont like A LOT of wheels for the RX-8 that are on other cars but it's cool!

I mean I like em & so that's all that really matters! & we have to remember this is the internet & gettting flamed is an eventuality! ahahah so its expected at some point!

BTW: They were actually fairly inexpensive... After I test fit them I like them enough to buy em so not much money lost there!
