How many of you guys change your own brake pads? Mine need replacing and i'm curious as to the dificulty in doing it myself vs. having the dealership do it and charge me out the wazoo. Also, do I have to get the pads from Mazda, or do places like AutoZone, etc. have them available? Thanks for any help.

I did mine in the parking lot. Very very easy. You just need a caliper tool for the rears that you can buy from any autozone used on fords.

You also need a 17mm socket and 1/2" drive wrench to remove the caliper. Retighten to ~70 ft/lbs torque.
