Had a litte (?) too much time on my hands and wanted to see what a RX8 Coupe would look like... So after some paint shop time this is what I came up with.. Its not perfect but gives a pretty good idea. What do you guys and gals think?

good job with the conversion. Still like "4" doors thought...got two little boys in car seats.....perfect sports car for dad.. :D

 

I dunno. From the side anyway, the coupe looks a little too much like something from another carmaker, like Acura. Just IMHO. Let's see if others have different reactions.

 

The visibility would certainly be better... I admin though, it does look a little generic but still has the elegant touch.

Yeah, for a coupe version it definitely needs to have a shorter passenger cabin and a longer hood. I would probably buy a coupe if they made one.... I'm still waiting for my RX-01 :p

 

i was about to say, the door needed to be extended but as i scrolled down i saw that someone already did. i think it looks good as a coupe. that is one helluva blind spot though.

 

I don't think the pillar would have to be as thick in a coupe version. Stock pillars are large because they have to reinforce the suicide doors.

 

sectachrome, I would definitely get a coupe 8 if it looked like that. Looks really good to me.

I still think if there was an RX-8 coupe it will be a new RX-7 and will have more aggressive styling, also just do away with a back seat for the new RX-7 that is what the 8 is for and I'm happy with it
