New coilovers!! Your car must feel even more like driving a go-kart now. I bet you can't wait to get back out on a track with it. There can't be much left to do as far as suspension and handling upgrades, when ya getting f/i????

Yeah, I'd be interested in meeting up. I'm pretty sure scudrunner is still around here, he might be interested as well.

I've met a couple of people and told them about the site, but they showed little/no interest. One guy replied, "RX8club.com? Is that on that internet thing?". No offense to you all, but I love the South.

Count me in. Does anyone know where we can get some track time around here? All I've been able to find is some time trial racing up in GA.

The old autox course is no longer going on every month, so basically the answer is no where around here. I'd love to meet up with some 8 owners, if any of you guys want a jic full suspension just let me know and i can get you a great deal. Also, I have some 18x8 18x9 spare set of Hp Evos for sale. If anyone is interested in either of these let me know. Lets try and setup a date and time to get together tho. Mpt Yellow yea i have jic strut bars, racing beat front and rear sways, and full suspension only thing left is underbraces but they arent out yet, and maybe one day a cusco roll cage...haha

I'm usually in Pensacola on business every 3 weeks for 2-4 days at a time. I've had to stay near Mobile lately, as you can't get a hotel in PNS to save your life, but things have got a bit better.

Love to meet up if the schedule works.....also like to try out the JIC coilovers :D ! (don't worry I've got excellent insurance rotaryred )

Do most of us have the 17th off for MLK observance? That might make for a good day. If not, I'm in for either the weekend of the 15th or 22nd.

Does anyone have ideas for a location?

Mark

Any time is fine for me. As for location, I don't have a clue. Is there a nice place near the beach between Destin and Pensacola that we could take a few nice pics?

If we want a beach setting, I would recommend Navarre Beach. They've cleaned up enough from Ivan, that we should be able to use the parking lot at the bottom of the bridge. Depending of course, on how many show up.

Otherwise, in Fort Walton, there's a nice big, newly tarred parking lot on Mary Esther. It's across from the Chrysler Dealership. I've seen other car enthusiasts gather there. But, of course, no beach setting.

Anyone else have thoughts?

Yeah, the boardwalk is nice. I have been there before! (I forget things sometimes.) There is also a public park on 98 towards Mary Esther that looks to be nice. I guess it just depends on what type os setting everyone wants. We could do the bbq thing like in tallahassee or do the restaurant thing.

I've heard Blue Angel park is real nice in Pensacola. For non-military it's like 2-3 bucks to get in. I heard it's been celaned up, they have bbq pits as well.

But I'm up for any where. MLK day sounds pretty good.

I found a drag strip just off I-10 in Holt, just east of Milton. Maybe we could do it there.

Was just suggesting, don't care where we hold the meet, just that we're actually going to do one. We could find a really big parking lot, race in, set up cones, tear around for a while, and leave before the cops come... j/k

Are there any twisty roads around here? Haven't found any yet, though I have been spoiled by the back roads in Washington State.

Here with another 8 in Pcola

Hi All....I'd love to get my 8 out to a car meet. Weekends are usually good and MLK day I'm good. Someone mentioned Blue Angel Park in Pensacola...it's a pretty good spot as there are lots of scenic spots for photo ops.

1000 at Blue Angel Park is good for me. If that's a no go, then I'm good for Sunday 16 Jan (so my wife can attend), or Saturday 22 Jan. Still, if MLK proves to be the best for this month, I'm in. Looks like 8 attendence is currently at two. Who else wants to play? Meet at Blue Angel Park, go through the entrance down to the waterfront and meet on the big paved area at the waterfront (as a starting point)?
