bird toilets

how many think birds are using their car as a toilet? i drive my "8" to work when it's a nice sunny day. (i'm in tulsa, oklahoma) every time i go out to my car after work, i notice a stupid bird used my car as a toilet. this is getting rediculous as i must then go home and wash it.

am i being too protective of my "8" or are there others out there who have the same problem?

Keep a towel and a bottle of Quick Mist Detail Spray in the trunk.

Damn birds...you ever see that Far Side cartoon that says "How Birds See the World" and everything(people's heads, dog, bench, etc) has a bullseye on it. I think it's true

Black painted cars higher percentage?

I had a laugh when reading this post, my 8 is Brilliant Black as was my MX6 . It would seem Black cars attract more deposits than any other colour. For reasons beyond my comprehension. At work or at home I get the little presents. At work though you'd swear the " boys < seagulls > " had been out on the town eating hot chicken wings and drinking Guinness.

Make sure to clean it off asap.!

i forgot to tell you some important information. i must walk about a football field to get to my office building and i do not park under any telephone wires, trees or light poles. my car is so far away, no one parks next to me. must be these country birds. i work in bixby and it's a very small town. (suburb of where i live)

i'm beginning to think i've angered the family of a few birds. there has been a bird to fly under the front tire of both my motorcycles while riding and they became toast. i declared war on all birds last summer. i was riding my bike home from working the motorcycle races at hallett last summer. when i left the track, i smelled rain, so i wanted to get home before it rained on me. (my speed ranged between 80 and 85) out of nowhere, this bird swoops down and hits me square in the face shield on my helmet. it whipped my head back a full foot as the bird fell limp on the side of the road. i checked my mirror and sure enough, no movement.......dead bird. ever since then, i declared war on all birds. my feeling is they are fighting back.

ps the car is in a garage at home.

LOL, this is one funny thread...LOL

I have to agree birds do alot of strange things, like fly right in front of a car going 80. Walk all over your hood scratching the car up and finally...release evil gifts on our cars. Well, we keep cutting down their tree's and forest...so, I guess we are getting what we deserve.

Sorry about your War with the BIRDS...LOL

this is my humorous way of getting this off my chest and relieving some stress. i also need affirmation of others going thru this same problem. i like birds, just not the ones who desecrate my car or dive towards me while i'm on my bike.

i'm very surprized no animal rights people have commented. :p

yamajj
ps all in good fun.......are you smiling? i am :D

Holy ****! (no punn intended) that is a great observation. Before this car (red) I owned two black cars and they were constantly getting crapped on by birds.

One last option: Get a car cover!

There's a car at work that has this car cover on and he's usually there before I am, so I couldn't tell what it was. He leaves before me so I don't see what it is. The other day i got into work early and saw what it was: an older SLK. The sad part is, it was dirty as sin. Maybe he has a bird problem as well, but his car was silver. I'd consider it if birds were unloading on my car all the time but I don't have that problem. The sun isn't a good enough reason for me to have one either.

Never had one but I'm guessing it's excellent unless their poop is acidic and melts through the cover!

They have a RX8 cover but it's kind of price at around $195. I'm sure you can get a generic one cheaper that does the same job just to block the incoming.

www.finishlineperformance.com www.rosenthalmazda.com for the real one.

If I were you I'd post a WTB: RX8 Car cover in the parts for sale section of this forum.

Is your car Winning Blue? Birds think blue cars are bodies of water and they like to use them.
