DC5R.

Our DC5R was not really the JDM spec one.
Really a RSX Type S with JDM DC5R interior and bodykit.
No 17's and Brembos on our one either.

Oh so you didn't get the LSD and suspension tweaks? That's too bad...

So why is it that ll the RSX/Integra owners seem so arrogant about their cars, especially when it comes to comparing them to the RX-8? You know, since you have first hand experience...

We still got the LSD and hardcore suspension, just 16's instead of 17's, no Brembos and only 147kw instead of 162kw.

The RSX/Integra is the best car on the planet............period!
It's better than the S2K, the Zed, the 8, even the NSX!

NOT!!!!!! :D

In Type R form, it's a great package, otherwise, they're just like every other cooking model Honda........... reliable, decent performance and somewhat sporty to drive.

Unfortunately even here we get ricers who think their base model Integra is the best thing on 4 wheels........... delusions of grandeur IMO.

As for me, I bought the Type R as a second car to use every day since my other car at the time was a 300+rwhp S14 200sx (Silvia).

It certainly made the daily commute to and from work fun.

The RSX is a nice car, even the best in its class...i thought about getting one (briefly), the problem is that its class is BELOW the RX-8, Z, etc. It is a FWD sporty coupe, not a sports car

It doesn't surprise me that RSX owners would like the RX-8. Besides the different driveline (admittedly a big factor), they are similar in approach. Both are light and agile with small, high-revving engines. I liked the RSX when I drove it. I used to own a Prelude so it felt like how I imagined a new Prelude should feel. But the 8 just did everything the RSX did but did it better. So the extra 3 grand was worth it to me.

RSX's are nice cars--I'm not a huge fan of their style but I like them overall. They perform well too.

Having both cars, I felt the same way after test driving them. Rx8 gave me a lot more confidence when driving allowing me to push it closer to the limits. Also, the whole composure seems significantly better where it doesn't break traction and what not without warning.

Um, not really.
The 8's nothing like the RSX in any way whatsoever.

All i'm saying is that they have simular qualites. I obviously like the 8 a lot more, but the RSX is a great car.

That's a pretty impressive display of arrogance yourself! :D

Could you explain what design aspects of VTEC you don't like? It IS a brilliantly designed, simple and reliable mechanism to vary cam timing.

Nope, nothing wrong with that! Even Honda and Acura owners are often embarassed by some people who put VTEC stickers on in bad taste. You can't fault owners of cars that come with such things from the factory though. :p
