Getaway in Stockholm 5

Just found out over the weekend that the 5th release of Getaway in Stockholm is out. This time, the car of choice is a modified RX7 (FD). The preview is available on the website. Movie sypnosis:

"Mr X, the worlds most famous traffic violator is back in town! This time in a car well known from the movie The Fast and the Furious, a supertuned Mazda Rx-7 pushed to the limit. Together with a friend in a just as fast supercar they show that after sunset in Stockholm another life begins where they own the streets, sometimes at speeds up to 300 km/h. Watch this great documentary of awesome fast cars, streetracing, car stunts, races and babes - fasten your seatbelts and enjoy the ride!"

The movie is quite cool overall. The turbo sounds cool and you get to hear the RX-7's rotary engine pretty good. However, you only hear the engine when the driver is giving throttle and there are times when he's just coasting (probably because it's getting too fast). Personally, I think the second installment (Ford Escort Cosworth vs Toyota Supra Turbo) is still the best because the driver is driving more at the limits of the car. Furthermore, the FI'd Cosworth engine sounds really sweet.

I agree that little Ford Cosworth AWD would be a fun drive.

Thanks for posting that the New Stockholm is out

I love that little Cosworth, such an odd little car but I'd take one in a heartbeat.

Getaway in Stockholm is so freshman year. I have the movies somewhere in my house, probably rotting away in a moving box, or in the trash can. It was as awful as Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex. Yecch.

I'll tell you I've never once payed Guilty Gear in my life. Pathetic right? The only game I have that is recent is Tekken 4, which is by far the best fighting game, if my memory card didn't keep erasing my data.

As for a racing movie, go and check out Le Mans. It's pretty old, but it's much better than those horrid Fast and the Furious **** flicks. Also, the original Italian Job, the non-what's-that-hot-chick's-name one. Also, those Victory by Design shows with Alain de Cadenet are a great way to learn a little bit about the history of some exotic cars. There was also a History Channel special on the history of Audi. That was pretty cool. I like history. :D

if your into fighters especially the rare 2d ones (I usually get my kicks out of a Neo Geo Emulator) you must try GUilty gear XX...amazing game play! I could care less about 3d when I play...and funny thing I bought a game system just to play that game (Guitly Gear XX is on XBOX now too in addition to PS2)

Guilty Gear is actually one of the last 2-D fighting games. I loved Soul Blade, and I have yet to even play Soul Caliber, but my heart lies with the X vs. Y fighting games from Capcom. Those were awesome. Oh yeah and Samurai Showdown IV owns your base. I wish I could get my hands on Marvel vs Capcom 2, but it runs on Sega-based NAOMI board, so it's not CPS2 compatible. Also, could one of you computer geeks build a CPS3 emulator so I can play Street Fighter III?
