Another VR

Welcome to the Cult! :p

Your mileage will likely improve after breakin ... depending on your build date you may need to make sure it has the M-flash. go to the tech board for info.

Enjoy the Drive!

I don't want to dampen your spirits, but I thought I should mention that there are problems with a very few early build cars that get 8-13 mpg no matter how you drive it, and there is no fix for the problem currently. When I first got my car, it was doing 18 mpg, before M flash. Unless I was on a track constantly going fast, then slowing down, I seriously doubt I could go under 14 mpg.

just in case you want to keep your car for a long time, it's recommended you keep the rpms under 4,000 for the first 700-1000 miles. Every 200 miles or so after that you can try going up another 1,000 rpm until 1500-2000 miles, where you can go to 9,000 rpm.

btw, we are car twins, except you got red instead of silver

Red is a funny color. It didn't strike me as all that great on the dealer lots, but depending on the time of day you are looking at it, the red can really shine. I still get jealous sometimes.

I agree.
Under some lighting, the VRed looks almost orange whereas sometimes it looks almost as dark as burgundy, that kinda put me off it.
