You will not believe what I saw parked 3 spaces down in my apartment building! A silver RX-8! That is sooo annoying. The owner must have just moved in because I'm quite certain I would have noticed another silver RX-8 parked practically right next to me. I was hoping it was a guest, but unfortunately it has a parking tag hanging in the front window that is given to tenants. At least the owner could have had the courtesey to get another color. I'm going to leave a note on the windshield saying one of us is going to have to get another car. :p

Yeah where in San Jose? I have seen a couple of RX8's around my area. I've seen three red RX-8's, one blue, and about 2-3 titanium and silver ones in the San Jose/Los Gatos area. Maybe we could get together for a little meeting? Although I do not have my 8 yet, I am hoping by about 3-4 more months I'll have it.

P.S. I live in Los Gatos by Union Middle School/Leigh High School if anyone knows where that is.

 

lol. It's silver, what do you expect? Silver cars are common favorites. Simply because any silver car looks classier and cleaner than any other color. I'm one of the reds mentioned above around Campbell, Los Gatos and Willow Glen area.

My color choice was silver, blue, red, titanium. I dont regret getting red though coz it's hot! Especially when it's so clean and shiny.

 

I live in Japantown. Of all the rotten luck, having the same color in the same apartment complex parked 3 spaces down. This is god's way of telling me: "You're not special." Not that god doesn't have more important things to do.

Oh well. I put an extra rotary keychain I happened to have (a really nice spinning rotor one that Rotary13b1 let me keep when my order got mixed up) on his windshield with a note saying get a different color and join the rx8club. Wasn't that nice of me? He wrote me a note back saying thanks and the keychain will help him explain the rotary to the piston-impaired. Spreading the rotary gospel...

 

Time to start modding your car to differentiate it from his, I think.

 

You know, I never thought of it that way. Maybe this is god's way of telling me: "Get the MS bodykit." :D

 

As long as the customising is done tastefully (ie MS kit) and not cheaply or in a tacky manner (ie vinyl stickers, airbrushing, etc).

Then again, if you choose to go with the latter, you can be assured that he won't park anywhere near you. LOL

 

he can move to FL and become my neighbor. I'd welcome a car twin

My gf just moved to Japantown...lucky for you I've got a red RX-8. If you see a red one parked on seventh (where they are building new townhouses) that's probably me.

By the way...we've got three RX-8's here at work...and they're all red! Fortunately we've got about 9,000 people working here, so it's not too annoying. :D

I'm in Willow Glenn with my Red 8. You can't miss it from the rear, I have two bullet holes just to the right of the rear license plate. I guess I pissed off that Honda 2000 that couldn't catch me going over Highway 17!

In the residential area I live in, there is another yellow RX-8 one block down from us. The only two in the area, they're both yellow, driven by asian women who live with guys that like to modify/race their own cars. What are the odds?

Oh my god, I've seen your RX-8! Near 7th and Taylor, right? If you found a puddle of drool next to your car sometime back in August or September, that was mine -- before I got my Sunlight Silver. I was staring at your car for so long, I was worried someone would think I was stealing it.

When I was still deciding on whether to get one, I used to drive down that block on purpose to get another look at your car. Now I just stare at mine. :D

 

i know who you are referring to. She was in one of our meets. Her brother posted some pics of his mr2 on this forum a few months back. She too have told me that she've seen your car flying around.

I am one of those with one of the red RX-8's
You can tell mine apart because it is much louder then any other rx-8 near here.

I haven't went to one for a while, the usual place for the meet here in the southbay is at d&b's on the top floor of the media play garage. It's usually the third saturday of every month @2:00. I think theres another meet that happens around 4:00 too that draws more of the rx7 crowd.
