HOT - i think NOT!

Basically winter has hit, so i thought id flick the switch of my heated seats (first time as i got the car in JUNE), and find they dont work... Took it to Mazda, they took it in for 2 days, called in a stitcher to pull off the leather and fixed the problem.

So here's my question... the seats now do heat up, but to call them HEATED seats is silly as all i feel is a slight warmth... Is this normal for this car (other cars seem to burn off my ***) or do i take it back and complain?

Is there a difference in heat between leather and material!?

The seats aren't real hot. Yeah it sucks, but they will just provide some warmth.

By sucking you mean getting the same amount of heat from a cup of coffee left on a desk overnight!? SUCKS!

Its an economy version. In my Passat, I had heated seats that you control by a dial. All the way up, you cook eggs on it!

Mine get plenty warm. I use them quite a bit when taking road trips because I have a bad back. They get warm enough to take the chill off of the leather in the winter and by the time I've driven a few miles they are just the right tempurature. Question though, why in the hell would you want a heated seat that gets so hot that you have to turn it off?

What we really need is air conditioned seats, my interior is so ******* hot in the summer that I have to drive all the way home from work (22 miles) before it cools down.

Oh well, I only drive the car once or twice a week anyways.

I don't know about the economy part- I bought some generic seat heaters and installed them into my wifes Explorer- they were the cheapest I could find ($150 for a pair). They are so much better than my RX-8's, it's not even funny... they go up to 145 degrees on high, 130 on low. Every vehicle I've been in with seat heaters has have been much warmer...

No heated seats on the cloth. Only leather.

They don't heat up to a blistering degree but they do get the job done. I had to use them today and ya it sucks that they don't have a quick butt warmer effect but I usually do a combo of seat warmer and heater to get rid of the chills.

I don't drive it to work because my other car has been broken into and vandalized 2 times. I also don't want to tear up $5000 in body work and ruin my Auto Exe kit. I love driving it, but my '87 CRX gets almost 30 mpg and it only costs me $16 to fill it up once a week.
