Was behind a truck on the interstate heading to work this morning when something flew from the back of the truck and struck the front nose of my "8". Damaged the bumper pretty good, it also got my left front rim.

Called the insurance company - they can't give me an answer on whether or not this would be under collision or comprehensive, says an adjuster will have to look at it. I just don't want this to make my insurance go up - I may have no choice though.

Looking on the bright side - maybe this would be a good time to get the Mazdaspeed Body Kit!

 

I was thinking this something was a rock, but if it damaged the bumper and the rim it must've been big.

 

Major bummer. Following open bed trucks, cement mixers and the like is hazardzous to your health as well as our RXs. Sorry that happened to you.

consider yourself lucky! If the object went through your window instead of the bumper, you might not be telling us about the accident.

What he said. And were you to have copied down the vehicle information you could have gone after the trucks insurance. If he wanted to fight you I'm sure that the State/Highway Patrol would be interested in how this truck caused an unsafe condition on the highway and littered.

 

A Chevy Crossfire almost backed into me at the bank today. Does that car look like an 8 or what?

 

That sux!! I also rarely get on the freeway. Story...last week I go for a joy ride and for some reason decide to jump on the freeway!! As soon as I enter the freeway a truck passes by me and what do you know.....a damn stone hits my windshield and chips it!!!

I guess thats what I get for breaking my own rule!!
