Mileage on those Bridestones

What is the expected tread wear on those fancy Bridgestone Potenza 225/45R18 tires under mixed driving conditions? By mixed, I mean a 50/30/20 mix of city, highway and country road driving. Country road, of course, means really "hanging" corners along with a fair amount of full throttle aceleration and heavy braking.

I'm at 21k on mine, rotated every 5k, fronts >50% tread left, rears about 20-25% left. dealer wouldn't rotate at 20k due to tread. Kinda confused as to why the wear is so different, as all 4 tires have done 10k in the front and 10k in the rear.

I have 18,400 on mine with 8 hours of that Track time. Rear's are about 5/32" and the fronts just over 6/32" (wear bars show @ 2/32) I should get about 25K out of them

24K here, and in need of replacement. Balanced once @ 13K miles, pretty even wear now.

I got about 13,000 out of mine driving easy. The rear wore MUCH faster even though they were rotated. Worse than that though. THey started thumping and whining at about 9000 miles. The dealer replaced 2 of them about a month ago and I bought two more Bridgestone S03 Pole Position Tires. They would not let me change to Michelin but said that I had to get the same brand. I got the best rated Bridgestone as per Tire Rack. When they removed the OEM tires at the dealer, they had bumps randomly inside the tire and two bands running across the inside sticking up about a quarter inch. We believe the belts moved or something. The sound they made was terrible. You nearly had to yell at 50 mph and above to communicate in the car.

Im a little over 20000 milesand my Potenzas are nearly gone. I dont think theresanything more than 2/32" left. The shittypart is I rotated them every 3000 miles too and Iguess that didnt seem to make muchof a difference. I almost spunout today when takinga turn at 60 whereas 4 or 5 months ago the cartook the same exact turn at 70 w/o flinching. I dontknow what Im goingto replace my tires with but Iwould like a tire that can last till at least 30000 miles. Itsgoing to be tough though b/c the Potenzas had amazing handling.

20k is plenty considering the grip the tires make. I barely got 12k out of Toyos Proxes T1-s on the wrx. As for getting 30k out of performance tires, i'd rather go with a cheaper performance tires like the Yoko ES100 and replace more often then to hurt cornering/braking.

Mine have a little over 14K and am replacing them tommorow. Not because they need replacing, but because one has a puncture and cant be fixed so I decided to buy all four tires instead of having one new one and three decent ones. I seriously think I could've gotten 10K more and am considering selling the 3 Potenzas I have on ebay or something. Or I might just keep them for backup.

1.3L I am in the same boat as you. New car and just broke the car in. Looks like the OEM tires might go 16K depending on driving conditions. I see that a good replacement tire is
Bridgestone Potenza S-03 Pole Positions. I think folks are saying they hold better on wet roads. So we have awhile with these before we need to think about what tires to get next. Pirelli (sp?) tires seem to be real good too. Expect to shell out $150 plus per tire. So far my 8 has been real good.
